I've been sitting on this one for a while, and I'm so excited to finally share it: Small Batch Brewing now has a beer truck. His name is Monty, and he's about to become your new favorite way to host a party in Richmond, VA.

Monty is a vintage 1993 Land Rover Defender 110, restored and outfitted with six taps, turning it into Richmond's go-to beer truck for hire. The Story Behind the Build
Small Batch Brewing has always been about more than what's in the glass. It's about showing up for people, hands-on, hospitality-first. Keg delivery and mobile bar service got us into backyards and event spaces all over Richmond, but we kept coming back to the same idea:
What if we could bring the whole experience with us?
That's where Monty comes in. Restoring a 1993 Land Rover Defender 110 and building out a working six-tap system inside it wasn't the easy way to get there, but it's the Small Batch way. A little character, a little craftsmanship, and a lot of care for the details. Now, instead of just delivering the beer, we can bring the whole bar.

Custom brews need a 4–8 week lead time, so the earlier we start talking, the more we can do together.

We know not all events can accommodate a brew on wheels. Tight parking, an indoor venue, a smaller space, it happens. If that's you, no worries at all. We still offer keg delivery and Relax + Enjoy, our full setup and serve option, so you get the same local, small-batch beer without needing room for the truck.
